Mexico is a beautiful and photogenic country to travel through. This journey started with a food tour in Playa del Carmen. As you walk to the various restaurants, you will pass several Mayan graffiti artworks that are worth photographing.
A visit to a small Mayan village like Ek Balam is also very nice. People there also really enjoyed having their photo taken, which can be seen on a number of photos in this album.
Furthermore, highlights of a trip through the states of Quintana Roo, Yucatan, Campeche and Chiapas are of course the cenotes, the jungle and the various Mayan cities such as Chichen Itza, Palenque and Calakmul.
Specifically worth mentioning are also Río Lagartos if you like many different birds (and crocodiles) and Bacalar with the beautifully coloured lake.
